What you're knowingly leaving out is that China defines its poverty line as something like $1,600 per year in rural areas and $2,600 per year in urban areas (in 2016). By this incredibly low standard, China is able to claim it has a low incidence of poverty; however, everyone (including you) knows that it's nonsense. The per capita GDP in China in 2016 was only $8,240, compared to $51,749 in the US. So, as I said before: "The majority of people in China still live in conditions that would be regarded by most in the Western world as abject poverty."

"The unemployment rate in China is 4% and more than 13 million jobs were created last year alone. Once again, the facts appear to dispute your theories." No, they don't. Trying looking into things a bit rather than just accepting everything your government-controlled media tell you. In its official unemployment statistics, China includes only urban workers who have registered as unemployed. However, urban workers make up less than two thirds of the urban working population. When you factor in migrant workers, the unemployment rate goes up to around 8% -- not that finding work would even help these people very much considering the miserable wages they receive.
